Dr. Gerald Audette
Dr. Gerald Audette is an Associate Professor of Chemistry and a member of the Centre for Research on Biomolecular Interactions at York University. He completed his BSc at the University of Alberta and PhD in structural biochemistry at the University of Saskatchewan.
He has previously served as co-editor-in-chief of the Journal of Bionanoscience, and is an editor of the first three volumes of the Handbook of Clinical Nanomedicine.
His research aims to understand at a structural level how bacteria produce complex purpose-built protein-based nanostructures that allow them to grow and adapt in various environments, and to explore the adaptation of these systems to develop functional biosensors and nanodevices.
